I enjoy learning. I enjoy discovering new ideas and expanding my thinking on many different topics. I guess you can say I am a polymath and one of the things that I find I enjoy doing is watching documentaries on various topics and issues. There is no better tool than the Internet to explore new ideas and there are literally thousands, if not millions, of documentaries that have been uploaded to share these ideas.
So, I am currently amassing various videos and documentaries that I have found interesting – or ones that I am going to sit down and watch some day. You can find these over on our YouTube channel, PhrenesTV. There are no uploaded videos, as of yet, but I am sifting through various uploads to find ones that seem credible and will challenge our current thinking. I am also sorting them out according to various categories and creating playlists. The goal would be to sit down and watch an entire playlist and become an “expert” on the issues of that particular subject or category.
As a teacher, I have been doing this to help my students on various subjects with my other YouTube channels (RomaeTV and RicardAcademy). This project, however, is more for open thinking and challenging our views of things shaping our lives today. Enjoy and take a stroll for yourself! I’d also like to acknowledge this article over at Social-Consciousness.com for inspiring us to do the same. Long live the documentary!
